Fold and Snap it!
I came up with 50 potential candidates for my final three. Some of these ideas were complex, and some were very simplistic. I started with a simple idea, such as a half fold. I then continued to build on that fold, by adding different(or taking away!) creases at different angles. Although not all of them are original, I used concepts that I had learned from a certain fold and applied it to another to create a unique outcome. Below are some of the ideas

Development

As stated, I build on a simple concept to create unique folds. The leftmost fold in the photo is really a simplified origami bird. However, I made variations of it until I created the final product, which is the rightmost fold.

I repeated the same process for my second final. Although a different design was originally my final, I changed it after receiving advice that it was too similar to works submitted in the past.

Unlike the other two, this one did not go through a design process. It was in the discarded pile until I changed my mind about it. Contrary to the other two, this one is very simplistic. With a shape that resembles the beak of a bird, I chose this one to be my third final.

Three Favourite Photos

The overall colour palette of this fold is very washed out, which contrasts the mostly staturated colour styles of other photos. However, I did not choose this to be my final as it felt dull compared to the other two
The second photo is much darker than the first, and the shadow that is created from the angle of the light source is very interesting. I did not choose this to be my final fold as the angle is somewhat monotonous, as it was used numerous times.
This last photo is my favourite photo. This angle makes the paper fold resemble a four legged creature, giving an organic sense of movement. I also like the contrast between the yellow table and blue wall, which compliment the white colour of the paper fold.
